Nash County Sheriff's Office is a city department that enforces criminal and civil laws. It is responsible for conducting criminal investigations, efficient operation of the court system, responding to calls for assistance by the public, and serving civil and criminal papers. The sheriff s office educates youths through Drug Abuse Resistance Education, school resource officer and CADET programs. Its explorer program enables youths from 14 to 21 years to learn about careers in law enforcement. Nash County Sheriff s Office has a staff services division that is responsible for the internal records management system, maintenance and distribution of equipment and supplies, and operation of educational and community programs. It is located in Nashville, N.C.
