She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Loyola University Chicago and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Southern Illinois University. During her training, she received academic and clinical training in multiple fields including psychiatry, family medicine, internal medicine, women’s health and more. She underwent her medical rotations through Carle Foundation Hospital which consisted of inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, treating a broad range of psychiatric disorders.

  Pooja Patel has been a Nurse Practitioner for over a year now and has five years of psychiatric nurse experience. Working in a psychiatric field, she has come across many individuals that are currently going through mental health problems and require guidance.

With a keen interest in psychiatry, she completed her General Psychiatry residency from Austin, Texas and went on to pursue her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from McGaw Medical Center at Northwestern University, Chicago.
