Bihari Kennels is a family owned business and have been grooming dogs since BeeBee from the Captain Kangaroo show in the 1950s. We are located at 121 Smith Road Nanuet, NY. Our boarding clientele have been some of the most expensive dogs on the planet. We have worked directly with the Hilton, Firestone, and McNally families, just to name a few. Also we specialize in dog training consultations at our pet boarding facility. With more than 50 years of experience, we make sure your pet goes home happier and healthier than ever before.

I am very disappointed with this place. I tried Bihari twice and will never take my dog back. The first time was on a 90 degree day and my dog came home dehydrated. This past Sat (8/11/2018) I dropped my dog off at 1:30 pm for overnight boarding. When I arrived the next day 30 min early prior to the scheduled time to pick up my dog, I was told that they had to clean poop off of his tail first. I waited about 30 minutes to get my dog who appeared lethargic when he came out. He did not run out joyfully as he usually does from other dog facilities. When I got home I noticed that my dog was extremely lethargic, limping on his right hind leg, and did not appear as he normally does. I immediately took my dog to the Emergency Vet where I was told my dog appeared to be sedated. I had to have X-rays performed due to his limp which did not disclose a break but apparently soft tissue injury. In addition, all four paws of my dog were infected from some type of bacteria. This visit to the kennel contributed to me having to pay a $703.00 visit to the Emergency Vet because of the condition of my dog after pick up. I will never take my dog to Bihari again. As a precaution I suggest if you do decide to visit this kennel, request to be shown the area where the dogs are housed. I would give this facility a zero (0) rating if it were possible!

We have a 2 1/2 year old lab and we have been bringing her here since she was a puppy. It was recommended by our vet who brings his dogs here. Our dog loves it here and gets all excited when we bring her. We feel completely comfortable boarding her here and highly recommend it. al

For the past 30 years or so, we have been using the services of Bihari Kennels. They have always treated our mixed breed dogs like purebreds. We have been very satisfied, will continue to patronize them and recommend them whenever possible. Thank you Bihari Kennels Staff for treating our dogs as if they were your own.
We have 3 dogs. We have been using Bihari Kennels for many years for boarding our dogs when we go away & also for grooming. They do a great job with both. I never worry when I drop off our dogs when we go away. When we pick up our dogs, they are happy & healthy. They do an excellent job with the grooming also. And both boarding & grooming are very reasonably priced. All their employees are very friendly & helpful. We have other family members who also use Bihari & they are also very happy with their services.
We were disappointed to read an anonymous posting which was not a review because the person never toured or used Bihari Kennels. We don't think people or a facility should be judged if you never had an experience with such. Our suggestion is for that person to go to the facility and first sit in the parking lot and see how happy the pets are when going in and coming out of the facility. Our dog is so happy when he arrives in the parking lot and if someone from Bihari should come out to greet him he always goes in to a play mode because he recognizes them and had a wonderful experience with that person. If you know your pet well, their body language will tell you everything you need to know how their experience was. If that is not enough, take a tour and see how spotless the facility is and how caring and friendly the staff is. We have boarded at this facility, use their grooming services for our Bearded Collie and he was trained at this facility. The experience is always great!!
our pets have been staying at Bihari Kennels for 23 years. the kennel is like a second home to them. we always know that they are in the best possible hands. joe and his staff know just about all there is to know about the care of animals and have happily given us great advice on many subjects on several occasions. our pets have always been happy to go to the kennel and are always happy, healthy and clean, when they come home. we would not leave our pets with anyone else. the hughes family

I have boarded my dog at Bihari Kennels for 9 years. They take wonderful care of her and she is always happy to go there. Sometimes I have to board her for more than 2 weeks at a time when I have to travel abroad. I rest easy knowing she is well taken care of at Bihari Kennels. Also, they are the best groomers I have found in Bergen or Rockland Counties. I highly recommend Bihari Kennels.

Excellent kennel, fabulous staff, well priced and great service. I would not leave my dog anywhere else. My family has been using this place for over 20 years and we have always had excellent experiences
We've been boarding our dog at Bihari for 7 years now. Great job gooming, too. They are very professional. When we pick up our dog, he runs back to the girl as if to say 'thank you -- see you again soon' and then comes back to us. Obviously, they treat their guests very well!
I have been taking my 1 dog there for over 13 years for both boarding and grooming. They are good people and handle the animals very well. I just took both of my dogs today as I got a rescue and both dogs look great. I would not hesitate to tell you to take advantage of their services.

I had my dogs for 10 years groomed and boarded here and I have no complaints. I would advise others to use their services.
