This local, Outer Banks restaurant is now in it's 40th anniversary season. That's probably why it's called a 'Nags Head Tradition' by locals. Currently open for breakfast Wednesdays thru Sundays, 7 am - noon (12:30 on weekends), with some whopping good southern-style meals and tempting seafood favorites. And if all this isn't enough, there's Roxie's Retail - great, flirty finds for your home or wardrobe. i have been going to thw dunes for twelve years now, and there is a reason we keep coming back. from the service to the people who own the dunes and most of all the wonderful food! when the owners remember your names year after year and will come to your table and just talk, you know you've found a true gold mine. the food here is amazing in all the 12 years we have been coming we have never ordered food we havent absolutely loved, and not just the dinner menu the lunch is amazing too! we will continue to always choose THE DUNES (:
