The outer Banks centre for dance opened its doors in 1990 and has been going on full force ever since under the direction of artistic director. Marjorie E. Knapp. Member of dance educators of america. The school's main emphasis is in classical ballet since it is foundational for ALL dance forms and it offers a great variety of dance disciplines. The outer Banks centre for dance has WOOD-SUSPENDED floors and has a DANCEWEAR boutique for your convenience. Performing opportunities are available and the students graduate with a WELL-ROUNDED dance education. Many of MS. KNAPP'S students have gone on to make a professional dance career.
