- Ultrasound TherapyYour chiropractor also offers treatments that relax your muscles, ease pain, and quicken healing, like massage, soft tissue manipulation and mobilization, and ultrasound therapy.
- Electrical Muscle StimulationE-Stim is short for Electrical Muscle Stimulation. It is applied through adhesive pads connected to a machine that can control the wavelength, frequency, and intensity of the stimulation. We use various settings based on what your need is - acute pain, chronic pain, muscle tension, and more. We often apply a heating pad along with this therapy to increase effectiveness.
- Chiropractic AdjustmentsKeep Pain Under Control. Osteoarthritis happens when the cartilage at the ends of the bones in a joint wears away. Without that protective cushioning, the bones grind together every time you move the joint, causing jolts of pain. Chiropractic adjustments realign your joints and reduce painful pressure on the bones and cartilage. Self-reported pain levels in patients who had osteoarthritis of the neck decreased from 8.6 to 2.6 after receiving manipulation (adjustments) and mechanical mobilization device therapy, according to a research study published in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics.
- Spinal AdjustmentsAt the conclusion of this initial appointment, you can choose to experience your first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue massage. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime.
- SubluxationWhether your child spent the summer learning new skateboard tricks, playing outdoor games, or participating in a sports league, he or she may be feeling a little sore now. Falls and bumps during games can cause subluxations, misalignments in the vertebrae in the spine. Subluxations, a common source of pain, can also affect the range of motion in a joint and cause stiffness, swelling and numbness.
- Manipulation TherapyYour chiropractor realigns your vertebrae using a treatment called spinal manipulation. Commonly called an "adjustment," spinal manipulation involves quick thrusts to your spine that move the vertebrae back into their normal position. Once your spine is properly aligned, pain, stiffness, and inflammation decrease. At the same time, blood flow to your back increases, promoting healing. Adjustments treat your pain and also help you avoid flare-ups in the future, as you're much more likely to experience back injuries if your vertebrae are out of alignment
- Myofascial TherapyWhen myofascial tissue becomes stiff, it may restrict movement in both the muscles and joints. This can lead to joint and muscle pain. During myofascial release, your chiropractor will locate and release areas of myofascial tissue that are stiff and tight.
