      Founded in 1944, Bethany Christian Services is a nonprofit organization, specializing in providing adoption and orphan care services. Located in Fremont, Mich., it is one of the largest adoption agencies in the United States, offering services through a national network of over 80 locations and is licensed in more than 30 U.S. states. The organization provides a range of care and services for children of all ages and in all stages of life. The agency serves children at conception by counseling women with unplanned pregnancies and by providing frozen embryos a chance for a full life through its embryo adoption program. Its care services include adoption, temporary foster care, counseling, training, and family support. Bethany Christian Services is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), the Joint Council on International Children's Services (JCICS) and the North American Association of Christian Social Workers (NACSW).
