Footlife Orthotics specializes in medical-grade, custom-made orthotics. These corrective devices can be used to improve your gait, as well as prevent and help foot related issues. Whether you have foot pain, are active or a runner, or just spend a lot of time on your feet, these devices can used for prevention or improvement. Custom orthotics are made to fit your foot perfectly. They are rigid devices that allow for very limited, if any, movement when you put your weight down on your foot. The goal of having an orthotic is to limit foot motion as much as possible. We use computerized gait-analysis to break down the way you walk. This analysis looks at how much time/pressure you spend on each part of your foot, to determine any discrepancies in your gait cycle. Imbalances while you walk/run can lead to issues with not only your feet, but also your knees, hips, and back. Your feet are the foundation of your body therefore any issues with your gait/feet can work their way up your body!
