Summerhays Music Center, founded in 1936, is a family-owned store that supports several school music programs throughout Utah. The store includes a custom repair shop, which provides repair of all kinds of instrument. It carries a variety of musical instruments, including band, orchestra, harps, guitars, drums, organs and keyboards. The store also provides various types of accessories, such as mutes, mouthpieces, cleaning supplies, cases, reeds, ligatures, and straps and harnesses. It organizes the Utah's School Music programs for teachers and administrators. The store has education representatives who visit schools to help them with band and orchestra programs. Its staff of musicians is trained and experienced to assist customers with all kinds of music instrument and accessory needs. The store also employs music teachers for every instrument, ranging from accordion to xylophone.
