Operational since 1970, Kimpton Middle School serves more than 850 students in grades seven and eight. The school offers instruction in subjects, such as language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. It also provides technology education, work and family life, music, health and physical education classes. Kimpton Middle School offers special education programs for gifted and talented students. Its athletic activities include football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, wrestling and cross-country. The school operates a student council, drama club, choir, band and orchestra. Kimpton Middle School features a library that stocks over 14,000 volumes and has subscriptions to nearly 15 magazines. Its additional facilities include an auditorium, gymnasium, and football and baseball fields. The school organizes extracurricular activities, such as spelling and geography bee competitions and reading and writing festivals. It is governed by Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools.
