      Donate, Shop, Volunteer Help Homeless Women and Children! Sparrows Nest Thrift Store and Donation Center currently operates 6 locations in McHenry and Cook Counties. You can find high quality clothing, shoes, furniture, small appliances, and household items. The Sparrows Nests provide support and basic necessities for the homeless women and children living in the Home of the Sparrow shelters and transitional apartments in Northern Illinois. We gratefully accept donations of gently used or new items, including clothing, shoes, furniture, jewelry, small appliances and household items. Donations are accepted at all locations during store hours. We offer FREE Pick-Up for furniture or large item donations. Just call 815-271-5444 Ext. 41 or visit us online. Nest volunteers are always needed. Please call to see how you can help make a difference in the lives of homeless women and children.
