We have re-modelled several rooms in our house and The Fireplace Element built two beautiful fireplaces for us. The first is a limestone fireplace with a marble...
The Fireplace Element provided one stop shop/full service professional for the time I visited the showroom and met Amy and Corrine
Fireplace Element worked with us on two projects, a natural gas fireplace from their shop in our living room and a large custom built firepit on the patio
After a serch we found that Fireplace Element had what we wanted. A couple of trips to the store and we made our purchase of a gas fireplace insert. They had several choices. Installation went well and we've had no trouble, but if we do there's little doubt we'll get some help.
Corinne helped us select a beautiful linear fireplace that fit perfectly with our vision for our remodeled home. Unfortunately our contractor and architect weren't sure exactly how to build the new firebox for the fireplace and do it in a way that allowed for a TV (and supporting wiring) above the fireplace and in front of the chimney/heat channels. Corinne worked with the architect and contractor to help understand what was required. (The fireplace was from a European company and a bit different.).
Gorgeous modern European fireplace installed smoothly, on time and on budget. Gerard was brilliant, only needed a brief visit to provide suggestions
The Fireplace Element was recommended by a friend, so they were one of the places I went to when I decided to upgrade my 27yr gas insert. Although they were not the cheapest option, they had exactly what I was looking for. A contemporary design mounted in the wall and off the floor. I loved the fireplaces they had in the showroom so much that I ended up buying two and upgrading both of my fireplaces. The Fireplace Element installed the fireplaces on schedule, they cleaned up every day they worked in my home, and the project was completed on time and on budget !!! I LOVE both of my new fireplaces - they were worth every single penny. The owners Corinne & Gerard are a delight to work with. I would not hesitate to highly recommend them.
We are an architectural firm and we often send our customers to visualize potential fireplaces at this shop. Corinne has been extremely courteous in teaching both us designers and the home owners about the pros and cons of the different models. The husband is a true artisan and can carve any shape out of real stone. Also the showroom is very nice, with lots of more contemporary models, especially for the outdoor models and that's what I am looking for, fresher, modern ideas. I'd highly recommend talking with Corinne about all the new available options that are constantly released.
Corrin is great !! I went in looking for a fireplace door. We just bought a house and tore down our old fireplace. She patiently listened to all my ideas, helped me design a fireplace based on what I thought I wanted. She understood, I was overwhelmed with things as we had just bought the house. She did not try to upsell anything to me, and advised me on the pros and cons of everything I was coming up with. We still havent started the project yet (waiting for other material). But 5 stars to corrin for walking me through and helping me understand everything. She also gave drawings and instructions to our contractor. How nice is that !!!!! Anybody who needs a fireplace done, shd just go to them and pick one out of their lovely catelog. no headaches!!
The team was fantastic and was on top of it and knew everything that will be going on. Very pleasant to work with them. Fireplace will now get a lot of use and looks so nice. I have a rugged stone faced fireplace and I chose the Jordan Series of Kozy Heat (Rockford XL with titanium convex front).
I went in looking for pretty colored glass for my firepit and was happy with their large selection of colors. The woman who helped me was very courteous and helpful. They had a large selection of fireplaces as well and I will definitely go back when I'm in the market for a fireplace upgrade.
My experience with Fireplace Element was great! Corinne worked with me to stay within my budget, had suggestions that saved me time and money, and the work was done exactly when they said and at the price they said--and the price was more than reasonable. My house is old and quirky, and they just made adjustments and problem solved until the project was completed to my complete satisfaction. I couldn't be happier with their work!
Gerard is a true artist. He quickly understood our love for modern, simple lines and recommended designs that fit really nicely with the rest of the house's designs. He built a very large aluminum frame for the gas powered fireplace that created a beautiful, remarkable addition to our formal living room. The work took longer than expected as Gerard wouldn't settle for anything but the highest quality and smoothest finish.
We decided to have a gas fireplace insert installed and had enjoyed using Kingsman inserts at some vacation locations. We sought a local dealer and got multiple quotes. We chose The Fireplace Element for the install, and they quoted the complete job including gas and electrical along with a custom surround. We had the contractor who was helping us do some remodeling do the gas and electrical, but had Gerard of The Fireplace Element do the rest. We chose the Direct Vent type of insert (two ducts up the existing chimney, one inlet, one exhaust), and opted for fan and remote control. The installation was one day in 2009, and we have been extremely happy with the result ever since. We often use only the fireplace to heat that end of the house on cold mornings/evenings. We'd definitely recommend this enhancement and their installation.
I had purchased our fireplace insert from another Bay Area dealer, but was delaying installation because that dealer was going to charge nearly $3500 to install it. For the life of me, I couldn't understand why the installation needed to cost so much, especially since our contractor set everything up to be as easy as possible, including doing all of the roof penetrations. Funny enough, the other dealer couldn't - or really, wouldn't - explain their pricing either. The lack of transparency inevitably made me feel like I was getting ripped off so I looked elsewhere. Enter in Fireplace Element. Corinne, Gerard, and Amy were a dream to work with. I had a clear and honest bid within 24 hours of my first call. It was about 40% less than the other place. Within 2 weeks, the job was done. Our contractor was very pleased with the level of expertise and craftsmanship, and he has exacting standards. I haven't used the unit regularly yet but hope to do so soon. I highly recommend this business!
After calling many outdoor space heater repair service shops I finally found one that actually will come inspect ours instead of referring us to places out of the area where we would need to bring the units to them. The Fireplace Element out of Mountain View is a very reliable source; the day of our appointment window, they called to let us know they were running behind schedule, even though they were within the scheduled time frame; it was good to get a call so we knew when to expect them; after troubleshooting our space heaters, and getting them to work again after 1 year of not using them, they put them back together again and checked our gas fireplace remote (a Valor product) which was not on the ticket. Gerald Renaud, the owner, fixed it in a matter of seconds, he knew what was wrong immediately (pilot light was out and the remote receiver needed new batteries) on the way out, we double checked the operation of the space heaters again and found one not lighting properly. An hour and a half later after taking the unit apart and troubleshooting the magnetic pilot switch, the valves, etc; multiple times, he got it working. Gerald was meticulously skilled and experienced with these space heaters. He was kind and professional, and I would highly recommend The Fireplace Element for any of your fireplace, and or outdoor fire pits/space heater service and repairs. Very satisfied with them! They will be placed in our Homeowner's Service Repair Reference Manual!
I am very happy with my new fireplace, Gerard and Corrine helped with choosing the right model. We wend through number of different places to get estimate and The Fireplace Element was the most reasonable. It took us awhile to figure out what we really want and need and they were very supportive, provided quotes for all our requests right away. When the fireplace unit was ordered, they scheduled the installation and came over on time. It took them two days instead of estimated one to do the installation, but they kept it on budget anyway. When the little problem occurred, Gerard did come over on Saturday and fixed it on the spot. I find them very reliable and reasonable. Thank you Gerard and Corrine!
We had been looking for YEARS for a solution for our two-sided contemporary fireplace. We went to many shops in the area and no one could come up with a way of giving us the fireplace we had in mind. The Fireplace Element knew they could provide us with a solution we would be happy with, and they did!We needed a complete gas line install (which required county inspection), as well as the installation of custom glass doors and the fireplace unit itself. They did it all with a very high level of professionalism and quality. They tweaked everything until every aspect of it was perfect.I can't speak for all styles, but it is very rare to find a fireplace shop that speaks the language of modern design. They do! They are the only ones in the area that do. And they have the experience and dedication to deliver on your contemporary vision. They are small family run operation, so sometimes scheduling and communication become inefficient. However the quality of work they do and the products they carry are all top notch. As with any business with high quality products and experienced craftspeople, the prices are not cheap. But that should not be a surprise, especially in this area. And you get what you pay for.We are so glad we came to Fireplace Element. I wish had done so earlier!
I popped into the Fireplace Element because I had this little sparkle of an idea that I would like to convert my standard wood burning fireplace into a gas burning fireplace. I was simply tired of the work and mess involved with firewood, and feeling guilty about the smelly pollution my fireplace was making. I became completely inspired by the beautiful solutions I found at the store, and the manager Corrine was very helpful in showing me the pros and cons of each possiblity. In the end, I purchased a gas element and tray, and lava rocks to cover the coil. I hired my plumber to run a gas line to the fireplace, and hook up the tray. It is a simple, modern and elegant solution, and I have enjoyed having an effort free fire in my living room fireplace all winter long.A big thank you to Corrine!
