Dr. Tuzzo is beyond brilliant and his insights are pure genius, but don't expect him to hold your hand. The client who is prepared to hear the truth and work hard to change will learn from every visit. I started out "resenting" that every difficulty that I experienced was my fault and learned that when I could reframe problems to see how I was responsible for my misery then I could change my life. I once arrived upset that my ex wanted me to return home from an 8:00am appointment at 8:15am (but didn't want me to cancel the appointment) and Dr. Tuzzo told me that he also had a request that I lift up his car so that he could change his tire. Then Dr. Tuzzo asked me if I was going to waste time getting angry with his request to lift up his car and if I was not going to get upset, then why would I get upset with a request to complete a feat that is no less reasonable.
