He is Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Hawaii, a member of the Board of Directors for the Pacific Health Care Health Maintenance Organization, Chairman for the Medical Oversight Committee, and Medical Director for the Kidney Stone Center of the Pacific. Dr. Ito is a graduate of the University of Chicago Medical School and received his post-graduate training in general surgery and urology at the University of California, Irvine.Dr. Chien is an expert in the field of Cardiology and a specialist in the study of heart rhythm disturbances. He is also clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and visiting Professor at the Peking Union Medical College of the Chinese Academy of Medical Science. Dr. Chien has published extensively in the field of cardiology and electrophysiology, and is board certified in the fields of Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Electrophysiology. Dr. Chien is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.Dr. Kawahara is a specialist in the field of Medical Oncology. He is an expert in bone marrow and stem cell transplantation and is Director of Bone Marrow Transplantation at the Queen's Medical Center and St. Francis Medical Center in Honolulu.
