Ross Premier Motors, Inc. was founded by Gene Ross in 1973 as D&R Auto Sales, where McDonald's is on Newark Road. In 1978, Gene bought the land on Harcourt Road and moved the dealership to that location. In 1979 his son, Ron Ross began to work in sales and in 1980 became a small partner at which time they took on the Jeep Franchise. In 1991 Ron purchased the dealership from Gene and has been the president ever since. Recently, Ron's son, Zach Ross joined the sales force. Zach graduated from Muskingum College in 2007 with a teaching and physical education degree. In 2006 Ross Jeep remodeled our entire facility to give us a state of the art upgrade. Ross Jeep has continued to expand as it now serves all of the greater Columbus area with new Jeeps and a wide array of used automobiles. In June of 2009, due to the bankruptcy of the Chrysler Corporation, Ross Jeep was forced to give up their jeep franchise which caused them to change the name of the dealership to Ross Premier Motors and it became mandatory for them to stop selling new Jeeps......fortunately, they are proud to say they are "here to stay" and believe this is a good thing for the growing of their dealership. This has provided them the opportunity to take new jeep investments and expand on other makes and models in the pre-owned market! (that we have specialized in for years) Ross Premier Motors has grown in its current location, as we now offer a newly remodeled state-of-the-art showroom, Parts & Service Centers and a Finance Department. Ross has recently expanded the dealership by providing customers with a new site to visit the team located at 11 Coshocton Ave, Mount Vernon, Ohio.
