I just left the Mt Vernon Jakes and it was not that good. The prime rib was like shoe leather, the bread was stale and the bartender had me cash out before I even had a bite of food because she had to leave. The manager on duty was too busy chatting and flirting with a patron while she was sitting at the bar to care what was going on. It was a very sad eating experience this time. This place used to be good but it's gone WAY down hill.

We went t o Jakes after church for lunch. The service was horrible. The waitress barely checked on us and didnt ever introduce herself. We will not be going back.

Jakes was really awesome. They had the best buffalo chicken salad I've ever had. And some of the most personable bartenders I've had I in a long time. I recommend this place if you have never been!

I am a regular at jakes and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Everything I order is delicious and done to my liking. Tue service is always good and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend.

THE STEAK WAS TOUGH. THE SEVICE WAS TERRIBLE. THE WAITRESS WAS RUDE. EVERYONE SEEMED TO KNOW EACH OTHER AND OUTSIDERS WERE IGNORED. MAYBE IT WAS TO EARLY IN THE DAY. 4PM.
