The Public Works Department works under the government of Mount Prospect in Illinois. It offers a variety infrastructure improvement, traffic engineering, road construction, sidewalks replacement, and water and sewer system installation services. The department administers a solid waste program that enables each residential property with curbside collection to receive wheeled carts for refuse and recycling. The Public Works Department is also responsible for street maintenance and sweeping, street sign installation, and snow, ice and graffiti removal services. Its water and sewer division handles village water leaks, street light outages, and sewer replacement and repairs. The department additionally inspects and maintains culverts.
