- Teeth Cleaning
- Fillings
- Resin CompositeAt the end of the procedure, Dr. Cohen utilizes mineral trioxide aggregate as the root end filling. This is an extremely biocompatible material that research and literature have shown to result in the most favorable response from the body as compared to other, more conventional choices, such as dental amalgam (silver filling material), super EBA (a soft paste) and composite resin (tooth colored filling material). Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) is a material that results in minimal inflammation and actually encourages the re-formation of cementum (the natural, outer covering of the root and bone around the tooth).
- CrownsThese are a result  of: 1) insufficiency of previous treatment (improper cleaning, shaping and obturating of the canal systems in the tooth, and/or 2) leakage into a previously treated canal system  due to failure of a permanent coronal restoration (crown or filling) due to excessive wear or recurrent decay, which can yield bacterial recontamination of the canal systems.
- Bridges
- Root Canal TreatmentEndodontics Ltd seeks the most effective technology in their practice to provide predictable, safe dental procedures in an effort to save teeth, while minimizing discomfort. Our goal is to utilize evidence-based technology and techniques to help achieve our patients' dental goals.
- ApicoectomyDr. Cohen’s extensive training and experience enables him to select and perform more than one technique for saving your tooth; the choice of root canal therapy or an apicoectomy depends on the condition of your tooth and surrounding gum tissue. Both procedures are performed under microscope using tiny and precise micro instruments. You can learn about each procedure by clicking on its name above.
- Dental ImplantsDr. Cohen is indeed the "Tooth Saver." My dentist was talking about an implant or another bridge if the tooth could not be saved. I was very worried...no need! The procedure was totally painless and amazingly quick. I lived to tell the tale! (in case you have not seen Dr. Cohen's creative and lighthearted commercial) Thanks, Dr. Cohen and staff. I really appreciate the positive atmosphere, too. Very important to me.
- Oral Surgery
- Maxillofacial SurgeryEndodontics Ltd. is very pleased to be working exclusively with Palmetto Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. In some complex cases, two dimensional x-rays are not definitive; therefore, Palmetto Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery provides 3-D high definition facial imaging to evaluate and treat the case
- Tooth ExtractionsSometimes a tooth that has had endodontic treatment (a root canal procedure) fails. This can happen soon after the procedure or many years following it. The failure of an endodontically treated tooth can lead to pain, swelling or both. A patient in this situation has several alternatives: non-surgical endodontic re-treatment (basically, the “re-doing†of a root canal procedure); tooth extraction and replacement with a bridge or implant; or an apicoectomy. An apicoectomy can help retain the tooth for an indefinite time period. It is a minor surgical procedure with many advantages over tooth extraction followed by an implant.
