I personally love this place and it's the only place I'll tan at now in Mt.Pleasant. Yeah, it's not the most modern looking place, it does have some tacky decorations and plastic waiting chairs, but who cares? I judge where I tan based on how good of a tan I get there, and I can honestly say that I'm never disappointed with the results from B-Tan (I went for a month at Image Sun and barely got any color). You don't need to "feel hot" in a bed in order to get a tan, heat doesn't matter when tanning, just the UV Rays do and they seem to change their bulbs often. I would recommend this place to anyone :)

I receive a gift certificate to B-tan although I am a frequent tanner at Maui Tanning (which I love) so I thought I would try it out. The staff were very unpleasant and on top of that I was surrounded by tacky tropical decorations, and plastic waiting chairs... When I got to my tanning bed the "cubical" was so dirty! The carpets were gross, it looked like a 7 year old had painted the walls, instead of a full body mirror so you could see how tan you were, there was a small 8 inch mirror. I was thinking as long as the bed is good I won't care very much...But it wasn't I went in for the max time and didn't get hot! The attendant tried to warn me in saying that I should go for max time because B-Tans bulbs are much hotter than other places, and told me that I look like I burn easy (I have burned once in my life and I was 12). B-Tan also has a policy that if you don't bring your own eye protection then your not allowed to tan!!! Overall I was very unhappy and will not be going back. :)

Friendly staff and decent beds. You have to pay extra for a hex if you want to go in one more than once a week, which seems dumb, but overall not bad at all.
