DO NOT GO TO THIS QUACK

Dr. Gail Childers was a great periodontist up until a year ago. I don't know what changed, but something sure did. He slashed my daughter's gum, supposedly to help loosen a wisdom tooth, then decided after he had done so that he couldn't remove the tooth and she'd have to go to a specialist. OK...great....only, he didn't bother to help us find one. In fact, he didn't even tell us his conclusion....he left to go to lunch with some financial advisor, letting me know where his priorities really are. His poor assistant had to break the news when he had safely left the building. Then, the referral they gave us was to a dentist who was on vacation for the next two months.

Did I mention he didn't even bother to give my daughter an antibiotic or a painkiller?

Did I mention that the GOOD dentist we found ourselves after calling all over the area for an emergency dentist was shocked and "appalled" (exact word) that my daughter hadn't been given an antibiotic despite an obvious gum infection that Dr. Childers made worse?

And did I mention that Dr. Childers never said a word of apology about how horribly he had mistreated my daughter?

Bottom line is this: in my opinion Dr. Childers was a good periodonitist once...maybe even a great one. But he obviously no longer sees his patients as anything other than dollar signs. The best public service he can do for patients now is to close his doors and slide under the rock where medical "professionals" like him belong.
