So disappointed in Eyeland Optical. I made an appointment at 2pm, so I left work at 1:30, which gave me a half hour to get from E-town to Mt. Joy. I didn't know a section of Main Street was being worked on and construction had one lane tied up. I was 9 minutes late. When I got there, I opened the door to find an empty waiting room. Two receptionist were at the desk. The one looked at me sternly and began to wring her hands. When I told her my name she told me point blank my appointment was at 2 and I had two choices, 1) to reschedule or 2) to sit and wait to see if the next appointment came in and if they didn't, I was allowed to have the next persons appointment.

I tried to explain I was caught in traffic and I'm not going to distract my driving by using my cell phone, besides I am not sure if it's even legal to use your cell while driving. As she wrung her hands, she sternly explained the doctor has to take a break at 3 and those were the only choices I had.

I guess I informed her I did have other choices. I left and will never go back there again. Can you imagine if I had stayed, makes you wonder how I would have been treated getting this kind of reception.

I don't see how they will stay in business treating people like this. When I posted my experience on facebook, another employee from where I work said she was going to try them out because her exam was due, but after hearing about how I was treated decided not to. I have over 200 friends on facebook that work where I do and a lot of them live in Mt. Joy. I am so disappointed, I hope the doctor got his break, which is obviously more important than a patient.

Absolutely wonderful! The lady and gentleman at the desk are great and always help me find the perfect pair of glasses. They've always listened to what I wanted and never went away from the styles I like. They are very personable and are always will to help when it comes to payments and being able to split them up into two if needed.

They have always gotten me scheduled in a timely manner and have nice hours that fit with my schedule. Also, my orders always come in faster then what they project.

I highly recommend this place.

They have the most wonderful eye doctor there that you could ever ask for.She is so knowledgable & gentle. The prices are fabulous. They will match Costcos much lower than anyone else's price . Love Them!
