I dined there last week with a friend who at times can be extremely discerning about what she wants. While a little disappointed that the goat cheese tapenade wasn't on the menu, it was more than made up for with the brie & roasted pear quesadillas. Considering all the requests and questions my friend had, the wait staff was very curteous & helpful. The food was great & we even enjoyed a hummingbird flying by the window where we were dining inside. In my opinion, other than being a tad expensive, I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quality dining experience or to someone who enjoys the ambiance of a relazing stay.

Great Find

There aren't a ton of options when one needs a place to stay for ONE night in the Mount Joy area. Pretty few hotels-or basically NO hotels-at least in Mount Joy and the local B&B's typically require a two night minimum stay (or are decorated in top to bottom farm animal theme-sorry, can't sleep in that!) After much searching, I booked a room at the Cameron. It's an attractive, large house that was once part of the Elizabethtown College very casual and comfortable. We stayed in the Four Seasons Suite. Two comfortable bedrooms with a shared bath. It seemed pretty quiet there for a Saturday night. One of the best part of the stay was the breakfast. It was VERY good, apple cinnamon pancakes, potatoes provencale, candied bacon, fresh fruits, coffee and juice-made a great start to my Sunday morning. Just Agreat Place and an unexpected find

Can not go Wrong

When I first saw photos of Cameron, I knew I was going to get married there! It is so beautiful and was the perfect setting for the type of wedding we wanted. We worked closely with the Cameron and the coordinator was FANTASTIC!!! She always worked hard at getting us information or items we requested! We shared a lot of laughs and made me and my family feel so comfortable during an emotional time! She handled my MIL's surprise drop in one day with more grace than I ever could! :) The rehearsal went so smoothly, even though my inlaws were 20 minutes late, she made it all happen!! That day everyone was so professional. The Staff came down to the bridal party with hors d'oeurvers, which was so great, since we hadn't eaten in a few hours! The Carriage house looked amazing! My husband still raves about his pepercorn congac steak, that it's the best he's ever had! The Cameron truly made our wedding a wonderful affair, that our family and friends say is the best wedding they have ever been to! The contract is very easy ti understand and covers all that you need. Our bikks were prompt and accurate despite the numerous changes we made. This took such a burden off the wedding day knowing all was paid for and no one would be chasing us down on our wedding dat to settle an bills. We were recently back at the Cameron for a friend's wedding, and we were greeted right away by the owner, who said it was so nice to have us back, and warmly greeted my family and I with smiles and hugs! It was so nice to be remembered after almost a year! I highly recommend the Cameron We joke that we'll renew our vows for our 10 year anniversary there, and after being welcomed back so warmly, I think it will absolutely happen!

More than Satisfied

My wedding day at Cameron Estate Inn was more than I could have ever imagined. The quality of service was absolutely above and beyond what I expected. Rhonda was there before I booked the reception site to answer any questions. Along the way she was incredibly informative and helpful and usually got back to me within a day or two. The entire planning process was amazing and on the day of the wedding, Rhonda and her crew were there to help make everything run as smooth as possible and were there supporting me all the way! The food was the best wedding food that you will ever have. In fact, it's the best steak I think I've ever had (and I'm picky!). Everything was cooked perfectly and EVERY SINGLE GUEST complimented me on the food. Yes, it was a little pricey, but it is totally worth it if you care about the food quality. I ended up doing an open bar. The prices on the open bar were Very Reasonable. The room itself is very clean and modern but has vintage/rustic flair. The grounds were ideal photographs. I would also highly recommend staying at the inn and reserving rooms for your guests. It will be the best room that you've ever stayed in! I've stayed in very high class hotels before that were far more per night and none of them compared to the Inn's rooms. We were more than satisfied with every aspect of our wedding day!

The Bates Motel

We stayed here for a weekend wedding. Rooms are overpriced and not that nice. Breakfast portions are tiny (a cup of oatmeal and one slice of bacon!!). Very limited coffee service. Beware if you are having a wedding there because the "Deposit" you pay will never be returned for whatever reason they can think of. I would never go back.
