Paula Kozey is founder and co-owner of Michigan Auto Title Service ( MATS ). After spending most of her career in the banking auto finance side of vehicle repossession, title and remarketing back-office operations first for National Bank of Detroit ( NBD ) and later for Bank OnePaula was asked to relocate. She declined and 10 years ago began processing repossession and duplicate titles for a local bank in Michigan. About the same time, Paula got married to Todd Wysocki and the business has grown exponentially year after year since. Soon the company began processing titles for some of the largest auto finance companies in the country and MATS quickly expanded their service capabilities to all 50 states! Even though the reference to Michigan remains a descriptive part of our nametoday, MATS is much better known nationally, servicing captive and auto finance companies along with banks, literally from coast to coast. At the end of last year, MATS reached a milestone in its short history by having processed its one millionth title. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment as it represents a history of client confidence we've worked very hard to establish. Listening and being attentive to our clients needs has become the trade mark and signature for our success. Over the years, we've invested heavily in automation and systems development because we listened to what the auto finance industry was telling us. As a consequence, today the proprietary web portal MATS developed serves as a cost-effective and time-efficient electronic platform of communication where our clients can submit title requests, monitor title processing throughout its life cycle, interact with comments or questions of inquiry along with then gauging our performance through customized reports. Perhaps more than all else, MATS MI-Retitle process and the OSMR ( Out of State Michigan Repo ) process is what is unique to our company's title service capabilities. Todd Wysocki, company President and co-owner worked tirelessly along side and in cadence stride with the Michigan Department of State in Lansing. As a result of this collaborative effort, both our existing as well as newly added clients each reap the time efficient and cost benefits we now gladly provide. In a further effort to continually add value to the auto finance community, MATS recently entered into an affiliate business relationship with RDN & CVR. The auto finance company who utilizes RDN as their web tool to manage and facilitate repossessions can now initiate a title service request via the same RDN web platform. All the needed data for the title request is already available in RDN and therefore, with a simple point n clickMATS can begin saving the auto finance company time and money by expediting the repo title process. Through CVR technology, MATS is now connected electronically to the states of Michigan and Arkansas with more states soon to come aboard. The time savings from the above investments have allowed us to run our operation more efficiently operationally, and we've been happy to pass these same cost savings onto our existing as well as new-coming clients.
