I rode down on Sunday from Wytheville, Va. on a motorcycle with my wife to try 13 Bones. A friend from Walnut Cove, NC had told us about the place on Saturday. My wife had Chicken and I had 1/2 rack of ribs. The food was excellen and so was the service. We will be back to eat again.

Excellent service and phenomenal ribs. I ordered steak which was good. My wife ordered the ribs. They were great.

In a town that prides itself on being the famous Mayberry in Andy Griffith I was expecting a much friendlier environment than what I received. My food was wrong twice, so a manager had to come speak with me, but instead of being pleasant it was almost like the manager was speaking down to me like I was wrong. I know what I ordered and isn't the customer supposed to always be right anyway? Finally when I settled for my third plate of food (which still wasn't right and my husband was completely finished eating) it wasn't even hot. The baked potato looked and tasted like it had been cooked 2 days before. The green beans were loaded with salt. My husbands salad was forgotten. He never received his melted butter or cocktail sauce for his peel and eat shrimp. My steak was so overcooked and rubbery. My server also seemed to be overwhelmed since our drinks were rarely filled. When paying upfront, the cashier and manager again seemed to be talking down to me. I will never be going back here.

i have eaten ribs all across this side of the mississippi and i have to say these were by far the best ribs i have ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into! service was excellent as well! i give this place thumbs up without a doubt!
