      Established in 1923, the Mound Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services. It features a range of firefighting vehicles, including engines, tankers, boats, and ladder and rescue trucks. The department maintains a staff of more than 40 full-time firefighters, nurses and paramedic personnel. It offers auto extrication, hazardous material response, fire prevention, and water and ice rescue services. The Mound Fire Department provides fire safety information services and equipment. Its service areas include Mound, Minnetrista, Spring Park, Shorewood and Minnetonka Beach, Minn. The department serves over 17,500 people. It additionally conducts several training and physical fitness programs. The Mound Fire Department is located in Mound, Minn.
