- Pediatric CareOur outpatient pediatrician, Dr. Kriti Narwal, and our advanced registered nurse practitioner, Kimberlee Poole provide care for children at Samaritan Clinic on Pioneer. Dr. Narwal enjoys providing care for babies and children and has significant experience in newborn assessments, NICU infant care, and well-child exams. Kim has been in pediatrics at Samaritan for many years, and children enjoy seeing her friendly, familiar face when they come through the door. She has an extensive medical background and education to support her experience in caring for patients.
- Primary CareWhen you are admitted to Samaritan Hospital, your primary care physician may ask the hospitalist to care for you during your stay. Once you have been admitted under the care of one of our hospitalists, he or she will be in charge of your care and will see you daily. Your primary care physician will be notified that you have been admitted, and the hospitalist will work together with your physician to ensure that you obtain the best care possible. The hospitalist will be in charge of your daily visits to access and treat your medical condition, coordinating your care with other hospital services (x-ray, lab, pharmacy, etc.) and answering your questions.
- Family PracticeTogether they work closely with Family Medicine physicians and providers to offer integrated care and coordinate treatments and care plans for patients of all ages, that may include counseling or medication. They know how important it is to listen and care for patients with empathy and support, and the willingness to go the extra mile.

If your provider determines that an in-person visit is necessary, you may be asked to make an in-clinic appointment or to visit Urgent Care at Samaritan Clinic on Patton or Samaritan Clinic on Pioneer. - UltrasoundThe Women’s Imaging Center offers comprehensive breast health services including Genius 3D mammography, breast MRI, and ultrasound—the latest technology available in the battle against breast cancer. This 3D mammography technology produces sharper, enhanced images at multiple angles—allowing our doctors to detect and identify possible cancers earlier. The 3D technology also allows our doctors to perform specialized biopsies—making Samaritan the only facility within a 70-mile radius to offer this full array of breast-imaging services.

- RadiologyWhile much of the anesthesia delivered by providers occurs in the operating and procedure suites where surgeries and procedures are typically performed, they also provide anesthesia-related services elsewhere in the hospital. Their services are needed in the Intensive Care Unit, the Emergency Department, and in the Mother-Baby Unit where labor epidural anesthesia and Cesarean deliveries are performed. Anesthesia may also be consulted to provide acute, non-surgical pain relief—such as rib fractures—for patients in the hospital. Another area of the hospital where anesthesia is used is in the Radiology Department where patients may require sedation for radiology-related procedures or for reducing anxiety.

- Nuclear MedicineAll exams, with the exception of screening mammograms require an order from your healthcare provider. Once you have your order, call our scheduling desk at 509.793.9651 to schedule an exam. Exams like fluoroscopy, CTs, ultrasounds, MRIs, nuclear medicine, echocardiograms, and diagnostic mammography must be scheduled in advance. Scheduled exams are typically between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday—except ultrasound, which is scheduled until 8 p.m., and also has scheduled weekend slots. There is no need to schedule general x-rays.
- MammographyThe Women’s Imaging Center, located inside Samaritan Hospital, provides 3D digital mammography and osteoporosis DEXA scanning. These exams must be scheduled in advance. Once scheduled, go to the admitting area in the main hospital lobby to sign in. Our mammography technologist will meet you there and escort you to the Women’s Imaging Center for your exam. We are open Monday through Friday with some evening and Saturday appointments available.
