I have been going to Walmart Vision Center for years now....every two or three. I find their optician to be very good and extremely nice. She detected a higher pressure in one eye and asked if she could do another test that wasn't included in the price but it was more accurate than the "puff" of air. She did it and diagnosed the problem. She also found something she didn't like in my retina and strongly suggested I see a retinologist and made my appointment. I found I had the start of Macular Degeneration and they caught it in time and I'm now getting treatment with minimal damage. Dr. Chance is very knowledgeable. The frames are competitively priced, and my glasses were made and returned to the store less than a week after the Rx was sent in. The other two reviews are out of the ordinary and doubt that any optometrist could have offered better service under a "non emergency" basis.

I went back to this walmart vision place after retiring & losing our optical insurance. I thought they did an ok job as far as the exams & buying lenses etc. But recently I saw a commercial for a free trial pair of Air Optix Night & Day lenses. I printed off the coupon, took it to walmart & they were very hesitant, said the certificate was only for daily wear (it says ANY contacts in this brand) & gave me ONE lens, my right eye as they didn't have the trial in my prescription for my left eye & they wouldn't order it for me either. I contacted the company and they told me the certificate was for the night & day lenses as well. I called WM back they said oh well, you already got one lens, we can only give you one of the other kind. I offered to return the lens still sealed & unopened so I could get a complete pair of the night and day kind. Nope. The gal refused to help me. So I guess I won't get to try the Air Optix Night and Day lenses after all. I will find another eye doc too.

I had previously gotten my glasses at this Walmart Vision Center and then lost the only pair I had while out boating. I had no contacts and no glasses and can't see without them. I called to see if I could get an emergency visit or a temporary pair of contacts until Monday when I could make an appointment and the doctor refused to do either. Now I have to drive my daughter to a swim meet tomorrow with no glasses and its a 140 mile round trip. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS VISION CENTER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
