      The Records Division is a part of the Burke County Sheriff s Office, which is governed by Burke County in North Carolina. The division handles transactions related to criminal summons, subpoenas, show cause orders, magistrate and civil summons. The Records Division is responsible for photographing and registering sex offenders. The division processes gun permits and concealed weapon applications. The Records Division secures driving records and criminal histories for attorneys and officers. The division offers fingerprinting services for day care worker and teaching applicants. The Burke County Sheriff s Office also maintains animal control, community affairs, telecommunications and waste management divisions. The office has a work force of more than 120 employees.
