      The New York State Veterans' Home at Montrose is a long-term care skilled nursing facility that is owned and operated by the New York State Department of Health for veterans and their dependants. It is a 250-plus-bed facility that features a spacious multipurpose room with a full-service deli, fish tank and gift shop. The organization offers skilled nursing, vision, dental and other medical care services, as well as rehabilitative and nutritional care services. Its medical services and facilities include cognitive remediation, comprehensive geriatric assessments, falls prevention and surveillance, medication reviews, pain management, specialty in-house clinics, wound care, and vaccination and wellness promotion. The New York State Veterans' Home at Montrose has a team of speech language pathologists that evaluates and treats swallowing dysfunction, aphasia, cognitive impairments, and voice and speech disorders. It is located in Montrose, N.Y.
