Founded in 1889, Montgomery City-County Public Library houses more than 600,000 library items, including books, magazines, journals, biographies, newspapers, encyclopedias and databases. The library maintains a multimedia collection, including CDs, DVDs, cassettes and video tapes. It also serves as a cultural and learning center for adults and students. It organizes a variety of events, such as games, story sessions, reading activities, book discussions and computer classes. Additionally, Montgomery City-County Public Library provides various types of services that include renewals, interlibrary loans, printing, fax and photocopying.
