Since the summer of 2005 when Adventure Park USA opened, guests have been raving about this exciting family entertainment center. Adventure Park USA is a 17.5 acre Western theme park featuring a 22,000 square foot building to accommodate indoor as well as outdoor adventures. The park's western theme infiltrates all of the store fronts, mini golf courses, laser tag, and thrilling roller coasters. Owner Larry Stottlemyer opened the state-of-the-art facility with hopes of becoming one of the best amusement parks in the area, something he has definitely accomplished. Mr. Stottlemyer previously owned and operated the Putt-Putt attraction in Frederick, a local favorite. He accomplished extraordinary amounts with this previous franchise, hosting an arcade, a roller coaster, 2 miniature golf courses, concessions, water wars, parking, and laser tag all on only 1.7 acres of land. Adventure Park Academy was established in 2007, and is privately located inside Adventure Park USA. There are three fully functioning classrooms, preschool for ages two and three year olds, pre-kindergarten for ages four and five year olds, and school age for ages five to thirteen year olds. Currently the Academy has a staff of five full time teachers and five part time teachers. The learning programs offered are based on the Houghton Mifflin curriculum, which is an approved program by Maryland State Department of Education. The Academy is not your typical childcare program. We are unique in that we not only provide a structured learning program for our preschool and pre-k children but also includes all the fun of amusement park attractions and arcade games that Adventure Park USA has to offer.
