I gave them a 25 year old 1 carat emerald with 10 diamond ring. The setting as a whole had popped off on one side and I was told it could be tacked back down. When I picked up the ring, the setting was no longer symetrical, 2 of the diamonds were no longer on the same plane as the others, and the stone's prongs had been turned into a lumpy mass of gold ...It was very amateurishly done. I was told they would do the right thing to fix it, but then was told nothing could be done. I will now be taking this very sentimental ring to another jeweler to be totally rebuilt and reset. If he couldn't do the repair work, he should have said so. Anything for a buck, and a totally dissatisfied customer.
