I spent a year doing contract work in Monroe. I went to the Side Track on a whim one evening and made friends with the proprietor and a couple of the regulars. I ended up going back there many times with people from our client (executives and staff) as well as our team. It is one of the friendliest, most fun bars I have ever had the chance to visit (and I've been to a lot). We even flew back for the anniverasry celebration a few months after our project ended. The townspeople who go there are great and the place is always spotless. Also, they have homemade soup or chili every day. If you like the hometown feel and "nothing fancy", this is the place for you.
