Having stayed at The Atrium ($89/night) and LaQuinta Inn ($59/night), I can honestly say that The Palms is the best deal for your money in Monroe. It was clean, had lots of storage space, and I would be comfortable living there for months. I would put my mother in room 22 anytime. There is a refrigerator and microwave, and free HBO on the TV. The folks who run this motel are friendly and eager to help. They were extremely helpful to me at a time of great stress. I would recommend this motel to any traveler looking for a nice clean room at a reasonable price. Do not be fooled by appearances - this motel is great.
