My car wouldn’t start and so I called sunrise. They have called me 2 times today, and told me the car was ready. Both times the car still wouldn’t start. They have no clue what they are doing and I would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Do not buy tires from here. We bought a set of tires and got only 1800 miles out of them. And they were brand new. The owner, Russ said he couldn't do anything about it. So do not waste your money at this place. Now we are stuck with a worn out set of tires. They are a buch of illiterate people, as well as the owner working here!!

Since July 25, 2008, when I b...

Since July 25, 2008, when I brought my Subaru to Sunrise on 601 N in Mocksville to have an oil change and tires rotated, I have met with extreme incompetency and a flood of lies. I will list in chronological order the reasons:

1 I picked up the car and drove 4-5 miles when warning lights came on and the engine froze up.

2. Oil change resulted in oil drained and NONE replaced because they were busy and FORGOT but "mistakes happen"

3. When the "mechanics" and owner came to get the car they readily admitted their mistake and responsibility.

4. According to the owner the engine would be replaced.

5. On August 12, I finally got the car back, I had been ignored when I asked about a loaner and told I would not like the answer when asked if they could provide some transportation so I could get my daughter to her dialysis.

6. September 5, the head gaskets blew on my way home from work. I had the car towed to another station where I was told the head gaskets had blown. Since the engine was under 30 day warranty, I called Sunrise to get it

7. September 11, I am told it was the thermostat that stuck and that the gaskets were okay when checked.

8. The car overheated before I traveled one mile and I returned to the station. Now they tell me to take it to Advance to have them check it out.because "we don't have what we need to do it". Now remember that they said they had checked it out and that the thermostat was stuck.

9. A few days later they say the problem was indeed the head gaskets and they were getting another engine.

10. On September 12," the engine should be in by Friday"

11. On September 15, "the engine hasn't arrived but will be here by Monday. We have everything ready to drop the new one when it gets here."

12 September 19, "the engine didn't get here (sounds of frustration in Russ's voice)

13. September 24, pretty much it will get done when it gets done.

14. September 26, "your car will be ready". When asked what the problem had been, Russ, the owner, said "we rebuilt the engine and it took some time". The same man that said that they did not have what was needed to check the gaskets. The same man that said 10 through 12.

15. September 29, the car went to a reliable station to be checked before being used on the highway, due to concerns regarding safety and ineptness of Sunrise.

16. October 1, the car is given the okay to drive. When asked about work done at Sunrise, I was told the gaskets had been replaced but that the engine did not show signs of having been rebuilt. That the bottom of the engine showed no signs of work having been done; but, the cables to the transmission were loose and had to be tightened. When I had been told to go into the bay to back my car out at Sunrise, it wouldn't go into park. The mechanic said (chuckle, chuckle) " I forgot to put the cable back".

17. That is my rating and reasons.
