West Regional Library is a branch operated by Mobile Public Library, which is a public service agency that provides a range of learning resources and related services. It offers and supports various cultural and recreational activities. The library stocks reference materials on several topics, including business, medicine, travel, biographies, art, collectibles, patents and trademarks, and laws and regulations. It additionally stocks books, DVDs and video games on mystery, horror, adventure stories, fantasy, sports, animals, drawing, jokes, and historical and science fiction. The library maintains a magazine department that has a collection of more than over 800 titles in print copy, microfilm and microfiche. It also operates Bookmobile, which is a mobile book service that visits over 30 stops throughout Mobile County in Alabama. The library conducts various computer classes, as well as organizes several arts and crafts events. It provides library and gifts cards. In addition, the library offers registration and membership options. Mobile Public Library is a department of the City of Mobile.
