Reviews like these are tricky. No one is compelled to leave a positive review after spending a thousand dollars to fix their car. Even if they were treated fairly, most people still walk away feeling inherently salty. nversely, EVERYONE feels compelled to leave a nasty, cathartic review whenever the service they received was merely less than perfect.

Well, I have been a patron at Mission Viejo Transmission on and off for over 5 years, and I have had a lot of great experiences with this shop. But if you work with any place long enough, eventually you will inevitably come across a mistake, even amongst the best. I have always believed that you should judge a place not by their mistakes, but by how they handle them. Recently, I was on the receiving end of one such mistake, and I want to share why I will still be loyal to this shop.

Most auto shops never admit fault, and will downplay any complaint that you bring forward. But unlike most shops, the owner of the shop, Kevin, was remarkably approachable and empathetic. He took the time to listen to my concern and he was a real genuine human with me. Instead of dismissing or gaslighting me, he took me seriously and treated me with respect. He went above and beyond my expectations to make things right, and he took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and confident in the plan. Kevin not only made things right with my car, but he repaired my relationship with his shop.

I know that the whole "family business" thing can sometimes be a bit of a trope, but through my conversations with Kevin, I can tell that this is actually true and he really takes pride in it. He's been running this place for over 30 years, and he has watched his shop blossom, no doubt because of his commitment to valuing the customer as a person first and not just a wallet.

So I, for one, am trying to do my part with this review. More people need to take the time to share their positiver stories like these, and shops like this deserve it.

Just went to this shop for the first time based on the good reviews. Did not disappoint! Quick and easy service and knowledgeable staff. Will definitely be back next time around. Oh yes, Kevin the owner, real nice and friendly.

I can't express enough appreciation to Kevin (owner) for his help and upfront honesty. They took my car in quickly and fixed the brakes while I waited in their nice waiting room. I used a coupon from their site and saved me some money. I also found out about their Girls in the Garage event (Girls, see their site!) and going to one soon. I give them 5 stars for their friendliness and honesty.

Last month I took my car to this shop to rebuilt my car's transmission. I was impressed with the size of the shop! 15 lifts and must have seen 12 mechanics working there. The owner, Kevin is a very nice guy and he makes sure you are happy with the service and price. My car drives like new and I am pleased with the whole experience. Check their site for coupons. Great place to get your car repaired. Fast turn around on repairs, friendly service, VERY fair rates, and with 15 lifts and many great and certified mechanics, you really can consider them as one-stop repair shop for all your car needs. Kevin the owner is really nice and has a sense of humor.

I have been taking my toyota camry to mission viejo transmission since 2014 and I am very happy and satisfied with these guys. They have never messed up - ever on my cars. I have brought a couple of different vehicles into this shop and I keep returning because they have never let me down.

They have always been good to deal with. we took advantage of the free tow and they were happy to bring the car back to us even. My wifes car runs great now.

In the year that I have been taking cars to this shop I have never been disappointed. They are always happy to take the time to answer a few of my questions and teach me a little about the mysterious inner workings of a car. Thanks again and I will keep sending people your way.

Since the first time I went to Mission Viejo Transmission I have been impressed. Beyond the great service and feeling appreciated something to this day stands out as being my best experience. My sister was going away to school so my dad told us to get her car checked before her road trip to Arizona. We naturally took the car to Kevin and, not only did he check everything to make sure it was safe, but he went a step further. He asked my sister what she would do if she got a flat tire and had no cell phone service. You guessed it. He took over an hour to show her how to change her tire, BY HERSELF !!! He never touched anything but was right there to show her how to do it and encourage her. He also showed her how to check and add oil, coolant, power steering, brake, and transmission fluid. As she was washing her hands with a big proud smile on her face, Kevin walked up and gave her his card with his cell phone number on it and told her to call anytime day or night if she has a car problem. That was 8 years ago and my sister still has his card in her purse. On the back of the card he wrote "I am proud of you, Good Luck in school !!!" That is why I give Mission Viejo Transmission 5 stars !!! Our whole family will never take there cars anywhere else. Thank you Kevin.
