I was hit by a car while crossing an intersection as a pedestrian. While Doctor Balint was friendly and professional, his office staff were horrible to me. First, they set up three consecutive false appointments for me. Then when I demanded the next appointment in writing, the next appointment was honored. Then after sitting in the waiting room for several hours past my scheduled appointment and being grilled with questions and forms, I was finally permitted to see the doctor. After I seen the doctor, I felt pretty good about it until I had to see Surgery Scheduling. After they asked for my authorization to bill the auto insurance company, they told me they wanted over $3000 up front because they said they couldn't reach the insurance company which I know is untrue. They said since I have no health insurance of my own (I am not permitted to have health insurance because I have a pre-existing condition) they consider myself "self-pay", I hired an attorney, these people are unethical.
