Carlos at C & S transmission should be consider when your car gives you transmission problems. I have had three transmission rebuilt in the 17 years I have lived in I have been in the Pines / Miramar area. The first two times it was with a company located on Taft street in Hollywood. That being said when I approached Carlos and explained my distrust of transmission repair shops he quickly assured he had not been in business 20+ years being dishonest and doing poor work. I then went on to explain to Carlos that my car was a work car and was old and had been sitting up for about a year and that I was short on cash and would like to pay him in payment over a 3 month period. He allowed me to pay him in payments and he even did other work that gave my 95 chevy Blazer new life. He is one of few mechanic that will give you a honest and fair opportunity to get your auto repaired and work with those that need his assistance in paying the charges.
