The Minneapolis Emergency Preparedness Office responds to natural and other disasters, as well as terrorist attacks of all types, including those using weapons of mass destruction. It includes planning and training-related services to ensure maximum readiness to respond to an actual incident. The office also collaborates and cooperates with federal, state and county law enforcement agencies. The office is a part of the Minneapolis Department of Communications, which offers crisis communication leadership and management services.
