Everything went well. There were some plumbing issues since the house is 94 years old, but the workers handled them well. Ultimately, the boiler is installed and running perfectly.

Josh we appreciated the time and attention to the details when you came to our home to take a look at our project and estimate the cost. Being a bit on the challenging side your positive and can do attitude made the difference in our selection of your firm. Thank you! As for the project we found rob to be a pleasure to work with - professional and personable with a high standard of work ethic his leadership on site was appreciated and he and team members Justin and Dave worked diligently and so very well together. the relief valve on the boiler blew and was a rather scary situation I had never experienced. I quickly called Uptown as I had recently had them here for a safety inspection of the boiler. I was so shaken by the results of the of the valve blowing I could barely speak sensibly to the receptionist. She was very patient with me. Soonest appt. I could get was the following evening but 2 hours later they were at my door. Kurt fixed the situation and was very patient answering all my questions. He even fixed a metal strap that was supporting a vent pipe in the mechanical room that had nothing to do with why he was there. Not only is the service great but it was nice having the same technician again....and the office staff is really nice.

They are an excellent company to work with. The workers were extremely clean and courteous and they always kept to their time schedules. When Pete came out to give the proposal he actually drew out a diagram of how everything needed to get added to our existing boiler so I knew exactly what he would be doing.

I was extremely happy with the services received and will definitely hire Uptown again in the future. Uptown was excellent for a lot of basic reasons: They were punctual for their 7 a.m. appointment with me, they were efficient and professional with their work, and my air conditioner works perfectly now. These are all things Uptown did great at, but there are several less tangible items that make them really stand out in my mind: 1. They seemed to treat my house as if it were their own. They put covers on their shoes every time they came inside and cleaned up after themselves nicely.2. We have a fairly large dog that they were very friendly with which I appreciated.3. My wife (who has a history of kicking repair people out of our house if she's uncomfortable with them) was home alone when they came - she felt extremely safe, comfortable, and well respected by them. 4. I used this company because they offered the combination of on demand hot water and furnace. I was impressed that he had a solution to our hot water usage problem. They installed the unit in three days. This company were total pros. The price reflects the quality of the furnace.

They repaired our A/C unit. We have a special type of unit that they installed originally. They had to cut through the wall to install it originally. It is remote controlled and we call them to come service it. The machine got clogged so they came out to flush the condensation line. They came back a second time at no charge to reflush it.

Uptown installed a geothermal system in our nearly 100 year old house. We wanted central air, but because of our finished attic, every other contractor recommended installing several mini-split units. Josh spent about 30 minutes exploring our home and pondering the situation and came up with a plan of installing the unit in the basement and reaching the upstairs bedrooms through our clothes shute. The installation was finished last September, but Josh was available for troubleshooting ever since, making small adjustments for heating in the winter, and installing more duct work this summer to improve cooling upstairs. The upfront cost was high, but tax credit was 30% and energy savings have been substantial. But most important, Josh has ensured that we are extremely satisfied with the comfort in our home from the coldest days of winter to the 100 degree days in July. The system is quiet and barely noticeable throughout the home.

We hired Uptown to install a new high-efficiency boiler in our home. (They referred us to another contractor for removal of the old boiler.) Uptown company did a very good job. I would recommend this company if you are interested in a high-efficiency residential boiler. Josh did a good job of explaining the options and the work plan. Now that we are almost through the winter, I can confirm that the boiler works very well.

They put in a new boiler and I had a bathroom made out of a closet. They had to install all of the pipes for the plumbing for that project. The sewer pipes and the water line also. My upstairs bathroom, they installed new copper piping for the sink. They had to cut into the ceiling below to complete the project. They were wonderful. Pete Savage the owner and his company did a great job. You cannot call them for small plumbing work as they do not do that.

Josh and his crew were professional and clearly had experience putting in high-velocity air and geothermal systems in older houses. Our house is a 1926 four-square home in Saint Paul with nice woodwork and wood floors. The installation blends well into every room, is quiet, and effective. We love it! They were able to fit the heat pump, flow center, extra hot water tank, and all plumbing into our small utility room in the basement. Josh went above and beyond, helping us secure a state grant and provided all necessary paperwork for X Cel and Federal tax incentives. The finished system cools our house in the summer, makes up 80% of our heating in the winter (natural gas furnace makes up the remainder), and preheats hot water to reduce the hot-water-heater's work. All while decreasing our carbon footprint and monthly and yearly energy spend.

It went great start to finish. I called and they were prompt to respond and give me an estimate. Uptown was always on time; always prompt, professional, and polite. They worked very well in a 1908 house with tight spaces. They left the work site cleaned up every day. They freed up a lot of space by installing a super efficient water heater and wall-mounted boiler. Our energy bill has since dropped significantly. I have used their services since, and I will use them again.

Highly professional from start to finish. Nothing to report. I did have to call them to remind them that they hadn't set up an electrician appointment yet but the electrician then came the next day, which was excellent.

They got us in very quickly. They had a counselor talk to us first and immediately called us to find out if they could come. They came early during the day and we felt comfortable leaving them alone in our house to do whatever they had to do. They completed the job exactly when they said they would. They also worked really hard to get the work done on time. We had a small leak in one of the pipes and they were right back to fix it. We felt very comfortable, as we could call them whenever we had any problems and they would come out to take care of it. We are really happy with their service. If need be, then I would hire them again.

Josh was very professional and gave a thorough review of the situation. He gave us tips on how to save money by buying a used radiator. He also assessed our boiler and found a potential problem and suggested we contact the company who inspected it to reevaluate its condition. I was impressed that he didn't try to push his company. I got the impression that the work speaks for itself.

The guys are extraordinarily detail oriented and take great pride in their work. There were MANY little places throughout the job where Uptown went above and beyond the scope of our agreement they never once asked me for one additional dollar. Uptown's prices are much more reasonable than any of the other companies with whom I spoke. These guys are OUTSTANDING and Josh Savage is a genius! Thanks for delivering better than promised, Uptown!!!!
Andy did a great job installing our new boiler. Andy has a fun personality and did a great job cleaning up.
