Hayes Elementary serves students in kindergarten through grade four and offers a variety of educational services for the academic, social and personal development of children. The school provides a variety of academic courses, such as math, social studies, science and English. It also offers instruction in computer science, library skills, art, vocal music and physical education. The school additionally provides English Language Learners, child care, special education and Title I programs. It conducts field trips and vision and hearing screenings for students. The school has a parent-teacher association that conducts various fundraising events, such as Box Tops for Education, carnivals and book fairs. It additionally offers a character education program.
