Bethlehem Baptist Church works for the spiritual development of the general public. The church, formerly known as First Swedish Baptist Church, has been in operation since 1871. It operates a range of educational programs and offers several membership plans. The church operates the Minority Infant and Children Adoption Help fund and The Bethlehem Institute. Bethlehem Baptist Church also administers Hope Academy, which enrolls students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The church offers a selection of Christian camping options through its ministry, Ham Lake Baptist Camp. Bethlehem Baptist Church additionally operates Bethlehem Urban Initiatives, which is a nonprofit organization that offers classes in English for adults.
