      General Info
      Dr. Alex Kamenshikov was born in Moscow, Russia. His father was a pediatric burn unit surgeon and his mother a rheumatologist, providing him a strong attraction to the medical field. When Alex was 15 his family moved to New York City where Alex eventually enrolled at NYU where he received a BA in Psychology while participating on the varsity swim team, water polo college club team. In pursuit of a career in medicine, Alex graduated from NYU in 2006 with pre med requirements and degree in psychology, consequently worked two years as administrative manager in Emergency department. From there he continued medical career at NYCPM along with serving a three-year residency program at Coney Island Hospital.
