Markus, the owner of this company for only 2 yrs. is horrible to deal with, will blame you for choices of products when they make a mistake. First of all, we had our whole house redone all flooring pulled out of our home. The floors that were brand new upstairs are really nice hardwood/reclaimed flooring. I asked the owner if he could get a "porta-potty" delivered as the guys ripping up the flooring downstairs were tracking up the dust and debris on their work boots upstairs and on our newly installed floors and that was the only bathroom working was upstairs as they needed to remove the toilets to do their work. The owner, Markus said that he would not pay for the porta potty and if we wanted one we could pay for it ourselves.
We were not living in the home at the time and we would come over in the evenings and our floors and walls were wrecked with footprints throughout the upstairs and dings on the corners of most walls. That night we wrapped the corners of the walls to protect them as we had ripped out some walls and re-textured and painted the whole inside of the home etc. I mentioned this to Markus and he said there were other contractors in the home and again it was not his fault! Even though I pointed out to him that there were several place on the walls near where they were working that were the identical size of the tile they were laying.
Then fast forward to my slab of granite being installed. The guys delivering it said that this was the biggest slab they had ever installed. I was videotaping from afar and as they slid it into place the 700 slab of granite snapped in 2. WE all were disappointed and Markus' response was somewhat concerning..he said that if I chose another piece that I would have to pay for it. We cleared that up and I ended up getting a similar piece to match. But that delayed us.
He would often say as they do great work I should be grateful they are taking their time - they promised it would be done in 2 weeks and it took 8 weeks. When pointing this out to him and telling him for the sake of future customers he should consider telling them double...and his response was always the same...he would YELL and say. "Do not tell me how to do my JOB!" Well than...DO YOUR JOB....!
He has only been in business for a couple years and does not know what he is doing at all...Buyer beware! I could go on and on but he will never take ownership and will blame the customer for picking out the wrong tile when the lines don't match up. He has shouted in our home even though I had kids upstairs studying because of the COVID etc. And, when we came to an impasse and would not take ownership and we were done he would not leave our home. I said please leave and then it was please get out. On one the final visit, he was to come over to pick up some cabinets he damaged installing the granite and he just walked in our home without ringing the doorbell - he simply came in...entitled or just rude, not sure!
He is not a good business person and has no sense of how to do the job and has absolutely NO customer service skills at all! Make sure before you sign anything you ask about the LIEN he can put on your home, not in our case, but I had read another review regarding this...I feel sorry for the former owner Jim Stiltz, who I hear is a wonderful, caring, 100% customer service guy! I wish he was still in business. I don't think the new owner Markus will make it very much longer with the sloppy work and careless/reckless regard for customers! Thought he FINALLY took our suggestions under consideration regarding having the fabricators look around their workspace in the customer's home and he assured me he let them all know so he was not fixing mistakes. Progress I thought. Less than a week later, he had some guys comi
