The company processes and sells more than one million tons of ferrous scrap and over 250 million pounds of nonferrous scrap. It receives industrial scrap from nearly 600 businesses in Wisconsin and Illinois. Miller Compressing Company also gets metal by automobiles and trucks from auto junkyards and dealers and public auctions. The company s source of material also includes washers, dryers, refrigerators, microwaves, and aluminum siding and cans. It ships ferrous scrap to steel mills and foundries throughout the Midwest. Miller Compressing Company additionally conducts destructive recycling for several industries, including Harley Davidson and Snap-on Tools. The company has received an ISO 9001:2000 certification from the International Organization for Standardization.
