Most every time I have been to...

Most every time I have been to the 12121 Ferris St, Goodwill store in the last three months, the same woman is sitting on the donated furniture located right outside the doors employees use to bring out carts of new merchandise.

Goodwill employees park the carts of merchandise right in front of her and she picks through it before anyone else is able to get near the cart. This woman is known to push, shove and even scratch customers and employees who get in her way. This is a dangerous and inappropriate behavior. I am told that on most days, she spends about six hours waiting for carts of merchandise to be delivered to her.. She is always surrounded by at least two mounded carts of that day's merchandise.

Several employees and customers have told me they have been pushed and scratched by this woman and have asked the manager to address the situation. The manager I spoke to said he had no plans to do anything about it and that the woman's behavior was acceptable.

I frequent a number of Goodwill stores and have done so for years -- before it became the popular thing to do. Never have I encountered a situation like this in any other Goodwill stores. I wonder why this practice is allowed to continue. Is this woman perhaps a relative or friend of the manager? Are they working together to gather and resell donated merchandise?

Regardless of what is going on at this store, your chances of being able to get some of the better merchandise available are greatly diminished. And if you do see something you might want, you risk person injury from this woman. Personally, I will no longer donate items to this store as I do not want to help line this woman's pockets.
