B83 Testing & Engineering, an ISO/IEC 17025 certified company, was founded in 2002 as an independent test laboratory serving manufacturers internationally. Why the name B83? Building 83 or B83 for short, was opened in 1962 as the Product Development Laboratory for A.O. Smith ( a manufacturer of vehicle chassis and suspension components for the automotive and heavy truck industries ). The facility was designed for extraordinary capacity and capability of servo-hydraulic testing. B83 Testing & Engineering has expanded the original B83 facility's capabilities to include electro-dynamic high frequency shakers and hot, cold and humidity environmental chambers. With these added capabilities, we are better positioned to provide one-stop shopping for our clients and their physical testing needs.
