Based in Milton Freewater, Ore., the City Hall houses electricity, finance, fire, police, community development, public transportation and works department. It maintains an 18-hole golf course, aquatic center, tennis and racquetball courts and a sports complex that features baseball, softball and soccer fields. The department also maintains offices of the city council and mayor. Additionally, it maintains a public library that stocks various books. Its community development department manages and coordinates community development functions, including promotion of events and activities. The department s Community Emergency Response Team program includes training in disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search, rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations.
