Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International, also known as SEMI, is an industry association that offers manufacturing supply chain solutions for the microelectronic, display and photovoltaic industries. The association deals with environment, health and safety, productivity, public policy, intellectual property, sustainability and work force development. It also practices in the areas of wafer processing, assembly and packaging. Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International works with several international and professional trade organizations to inform, educate and advocate responsible policies on a variety of industry issues. The association also conducts conferences and trade shows. It additionally operates offices in Taiwan, Singapore, Moscow, Japan, India, Europe and China.
